MARRIED TO PANAMANIAN VISA

The married to Panamanian visa gives you the opportunity to obtain permanent residence in the country.

To apply for this permit, foreign applicants must have contracted with Panamanians and  live in conditions of uniqueness, stability, and continuity within the marriage bed.

Because immigration laws state that the National Immigration Service may deny entry or residence to someone married to a Panamanian country (as) for reasons of health, integrity, public safety, economic or social need, the Panamanian foreign marriage (as) does not provide a right of residence in Panama.

Married to Panamanian visa – requirements and procedures:

  • You must include a complete copy of the passport, which must be collated by a Panamanian notary.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must provide a marriage certificate issued by the Civil Registry; if the marriage took place abroad, it must be registered in the Civil Registry of Panama.

    • Charter working
    • Social Security Card
    • Revenue spouse owns or receives a bank letter or statement
    • A letter of responsibility from the Panamanian spouse (a).
    • The marriage interview

People who may qualify for this permit are the spouses, children under 18, and disabled relatives who are dependents of a permanent resident. Children aged 18 to 25 years old may be requested as dependents if they continue to study and are economically dependent on the resident or national. A resident or national who demonstrates alternative care and upbringing of a minor may be included as a dependent in Panama.
