Temporary permits for religious

(VISA TO MISSIONARIES)

PERMIT PROCESS AS RELIGIOUS SERVING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

This gives the applicant permits up residence in Panama as a Religious.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must include a complete copy of the passport and must be collated by Panamanian Notary.
  • Police Record or certification boards background. In case of countries where no such document is issued, the applicant must provide proof or certification of a diplomatic agent or consul of his country accredited by the Government of Panama, where it is stated that his country does not issue such a certificate with a statement affidavit made before a notary public, in saying that you have no criminal record or criminal.
  • Medical certificate of good health. It is recommended that it be handled during his visit to Panama.
  • Make payments to the national government allocated as follows: $ 250.00 for the national treasury in royalties by the application of a migration category, and $ 800.0 dollars in favor of the national migration and repatriation deposit. These payments can be made with certified checks.
  • An affidavit of personal background (will send one to your email so you can fill it).

NOTE: All documents coming from abroad must be duly authenticated by Panama Consul or certified abroad.

  • Letter written by the authority in which it is established: team activity, missionary group or religious community to which he belongs, where and how long they remain in the country.

The permit will be valid until the completion of the religious mission or to perform a period of six years.

PERMIT PROCESS AS LAY MISSIONARIES SERVING Catholic and Orthodox Church

  • This permit may request the foreigners who enter Panama and are priests and other clergy, who are engaged in pastoral activity have devoted their lives to religious services.
  • You must include a complete copy of the passport and must be authenticated by a notary public or collated Panama.
  • Police Record or certification boards background. In case of countries where no such document is issued, the applicant must provide proof or certification of a diplomatic agent or consul of his country accredited by the Government of Panama, where it is stated that his country does not issue such a certificate with a statement affidavit made before a notary public, in saying that you have no criminal record or criminal.
  • Medical certificate of good health. It is recommended that it be handled during his visit to Panama.

  • This permit is valid for six years and extensions of two years each.

 

PERMIT PROCESS AS A STUDENT FOR RELIGIOUS AND ORTHODOX CATHOLIC CHURCH

This permit may request the foreign persons performing religious studies at Catholic and Orthodox church in Panama.

  • You must include a complete copy of the passport and must be authenticated by a notary public or collated Panama.
  • Police Record or certification boards background. In case of countries where no such document is issued, the applicant must provide proof or certification of a diplomatic agent or consul of his country accredited by the Government of Panama, where it is stated that his country does not issue such a certificate with a statement affidavit made before a notary public, in saying that you have no criminal record or criminal.
  • Medical certificate of good health. It is recommended that it be handled during his visit to Panama.

  • Letter issued by the highest authority, in which specified student status, place and length of stay in the country.

This permit shall have a term of 6 years and renewable every two years.

AS AUTHORITIES, MINISTERS rabbis, pastors, leaders or other religious denominations or religious associations

This permit may apply to foreign persons who belong to churches, missions and religious communities, duly recognized by the Ministry of Government and Justice and registered with the Public Registry of Panama and engaged in this activity.

  • You must include a complete copy of the passport and must be authenticated by a notary public or collated Panama.
  • Police Record or certification boards background. In case of countries where no such document is issued, the applicant must provide proof or certification of a diplomatic agent or consul of his country accredited by the Government of Panama, where it is stated that his country does not issue such a certificate with a statement affidavit made before a notary public, in saying that you have no criminal record or criminal.

  • Provide a letter or voucher from abroad, issued by the council, the church’s denomination, where indicated, the hierarchical structure of the church or association, designating the site in Panama applicant detailing the mission and the number of churches will attend.
  • The representative of the mission in Panama should prepare a letter stating that services provided, indicating the site perform its functions, the time will be in Panama, the resources with which to live, salary or income to survive and receive should specify that the mission is committed to cover the cost of repatriation once the work is complete.
  • Present certificates, diplomas or studies proving their profession
  • You must submit a copy of the bylaws of the organization, that show the religious promotion plan to run in the church (time, location, activities, beneficiaries and targets of the same) in Panama.
  • Public Registration Certificate certifying the church as a legal person.
  • Provide tax return or tab of social insurance fund, provided that they receive income from Panama.
  • Submit a copy of a document can be a small card issued by the church to which he belongs.

NOTE: To renew this permit, in addition to the requirements listed in items in the previous article the applicant must show the following:

The Church must submit a project to perform the assigned mission;
Filing tax return or Social Security cards if applicable;

NOTE: This permission is valid for six years and I can be extended every two years.

PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW

  • Register passport at the immigration office.
  • Submit the documents at the offices of Immigration.
  • Apply for Visa Multiple Entry and Exit.
  • Will be given by a provisional permit Migration 2 years.
